Clinical Dermatology

The skin, hair and nails are important parts of the complex human body. The skin is the largest organ of the body and is responsible for temperature regulation and acts as a barrier to the outside world, preventing injury and infection. The hair's main function involves thermal insulation and protection from ultraviolet light. The nails' main functions are to protect the sensitive skin at the tips of the fingers and toes and also to help us grasp and scratch things. There are many normal variations to color, shape and texture of all three. When the functions of the skin, hair or nail break down problems may arise.

Our clinical practice specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers. Here at Palmetto Dermatology, we offer a complete skin evaluation to patients of all ages to help you distinguish between normal variations and diseased conditions.

We are proud of our highly skilled group of practitioners and we look forward to helping you and your family with any skin conditions, concerns or questions that you might have.
